Did you know about Charles Babbage ? NO, Then read it.

 Charles Babbage (1791-1871)

Charles Babbage was an English mathematician and inventor, known for his contributions to the development of the computer. He is often referred to as the "father of the computer".

In the early 19th century, Babbage designed two mechanical computing machines, the Difference Engine and the Analytical Engine. The Difference Engine was designed to calculate polynomial functions, while the Analytical Engine was a more general-purpose machine that could perform any calculation that could be expressed in symbols.

Despite being hailed as a visionary for his work on computing machines, Babbage was unable to complete either of his machines due to lack of funding and other setbacks. However, his work laid the foundation for the development of modern computers.

Babbage was also a prolific writer and made significant contributions to fields such as astronomy and statistics. He was a founding member of the Royal Astronomical Society and the British Association for the Advancement of Science.
